Refinery and Petrochemical

Highly complex processes in refineries and petrochemical industries demand the competent handling of operational facilities and products. In addition to safe and efficient process management, topics such as energy efficiency, CO2 reduction, environmental protection and occupational safety are increasingly becoming the focus of attention.

Operators are under pressure to fulfil legal requirements while at the same time producing economically and implementing sustainable solutions. Modern systems must therefore not only be technically reliable but also be able to react flexibly to new challenges – for example by using innovative technologies to reduce emissions or utilize renewable energies.

Use Kurita’s many years of extensive deep knowledge to achieve your goals and requirements.

Key Benefits

Corrosion & Fouling Prevention

Our technologies neutralize corrosive compounds and prevent ammonium salt fouling, protecting critical equipment.

Operational Efficiency

By avoiding salt deposition and improving heat exchanger performance, our solutions help reduce energy and water consumption while maintaining stable production.

Easy Application

Kurita's liquid formulations are easy to dose and integrate into existing systems, offering both preventive and curative treatment options with minimal disruption.

Specialty Offering for Refinery & Petrochemical

Kurita’s ACF Technology prevents corrosion and salt fouling in refinery units by neutralizing strong acids and replacing corrosive ammonium salts with stable, liquid compound. It’s easy to apply, reduces water and energy use, and protects critical equipment like FCCs, hydrocrackers, and reformers.

Kurita Dropwise Technology enhances heat transfer efficiency by promoting dropwise condensation instead of filmwise condensation. This innovative approach improves cooling and steam system performance, helping reduce water consumption, lower energy usage, and support sustainability goals.
Dilurit™ BCS helps control biofilm and microbiological deposits in cooling water systems, improving heat transfer efficiency and system cleanliness. Its innovative biodispersant technology supports reduced water consumption, lower energy use, and more sustainable cooling tower operation.

Dual Protection for Cooling Water Systems

Combining Towerclean® NT biodispersant technology with Kurita LE treatment provides comprehensive control of microbiological fouling, deposits, corrosion, and scaling. This hybrid approach helps maintain clean heat transfer surfaces, improve cooling efficiency, and support stable long-term system operation.

Prevent Coal Build-Up and Conveyance Issues

Kurita GL Series is a specialized coal handling treatment designed to reduce coal adhesion and carryback on conveyor belts, chutes, and transfer points. By improving material flowability, it helps prevent clogging, minimize downtime, and enhance operational efficiency across coal handling systems.

Kurita’s chemical cleaning solutions remove fouling, corrosion, and hazardous deposits from refinery equipment. These treatments improve safety during shutdowns, reduce downtime, and support efficient restart without mechanical intervention.
