S.sensing® CS: Advanced online monitoring optimises water and wastewater treatment
S.sensing® CS technology offers an innovative equipment to control the product dosage in industrial wastewater treatment systems. This state of the art wastewater monitoring system is using a laser-based technology and offers an in situ measurement of the turbidity between the flocs.
The advantage of measuring the turbidity between the flocs is that this enables the S.sensing® CS water and wastewater monitoring system to control the product dosage already at the inlet of the sedimentation basin, which means before the actual sedimentation process.
1. Real-Time Coagulant Dosing Control
S.sensing® CS continuously monitors the coagulation process inside the reaction tank and automatically adjusts coagulant dosage in real time. Unlike conventional control systems that rely on treated water quality measurements taken much later in the process, S.sensing® CS detects changes much closer to the dosing point, enabling faster and more stable control.
2. Advanced Laser-Based Floc Monitoring
The system uses a proprietary laser-based coagulation sensor to measure the turbidity between flocs directly in the coagulation/flocculation zone. This provides a more accurate indication of coagulation performance and enables precise chemical dosing.
3. Significant Chemical Savings
Case studies show substantial reductions in coagulant consumption:
