Kurita Solutions for Mining

Water Management Solutions for Sustainable Mining Operations

Water is essential to every stage of the mining process, from dust suppression on haul roads and ore crushing operations to slurry transport, mineral processing, and tailings management. However, mining operations often face significant water-related challenges, including material build-up and equipment blockages caused by moisture in ore, excessive dust generation, unstable slurry viscosity, and inefficient water utilization.

These challenges are particularly critical in remote mining sites located in arid regions or mountainous areas, where water availability is limited and securing a reliable water supply is increasingly difficult. As environmental regulations tighten and sustainability targets become more ambitious, the demand for advanced water conservation, water recycling, and process optimization technologies continues to grow.

Driving Efficiency Through Innovative Mining Water Solutions

Kurita helps mining companies improve operational performance and achieve sustainability goals through a comprehensive portfolio of water treatment and process optimization solutions. Our technologies are designed to address key mining challenges while reducing environmental impact and maximizing resource utilization.

Our solutions include:

  • Ore Conditioning & Modification Technologies to reduce material adhesion, buildup, and blockages in conveyors, chutes, and transport equipment.
  • Dust Suppression Solutions that minimize airborne dust generation, enhancing workplace safety and reducing water consumption.
  • Slurry Viscosity Reduction Technologies that improve slurry flowability, optimize transport efficiency, and lower pumping energy requirements.
  • Water Recovery & Reuse Solutions powered by advanced RO membrane technologies to maximize water recycling and reduce freshwater demand.
