Cooling & Process Water

State-of-the-art solutions, developed for a complete control of cooling water systems

Industrial cooling and process water systems play a critical role in maintaining production efficiency, product quality, and operational reliability. However, challenges such as scale formation, corrosion, fouling, and microbiological growth can significantly reduce heat transfer efficiency, increase energy consumption, shorten equipment life, and lead to costly unplanned downtime.

At Kurita, we provide advanced cooling and process water treatment solutions designed to optimize system performance while reducing operational and environmental impact. Our comprehensive approach combines scale and fouling control, corrosion protection, microbiological management, and digital monitoring technologies to help industries maximize productivity, improve asset reliability, and achieve sustainability goals.

Protecting Critical Cooling & Process Assets

Effective water treatment is essential for maintaining the performance of:

  • Cooling towers
  • Heat exchangers
  • Chillers and condensers
  • Closed-loop cooling systems
  • Industrial process water systems
  • Manufacturing and production equipment

By preventing deposits and controlling corrosion and biological activity, facilities can improve heat transfer efficiency, reduce maintenance requirements, extend equipment life, and lower operating costs.

Sustainable Water Management for Modern Industries

As industries face increasing pressure to reduce water consumption, energy use, and environmental impact, cooling and process water management has become a key contributor to sustainable operations.

Kurita’s treatment programs support:

  • Improved water efficiency and reuse
  • Reduced energy consumption
  • Lower chemical consumption
  • Reduced greenhouse gas emissions

  • Heating systems and sprinkler circuits
  • Any type of process water

What kind of products does Kurita offer?

Kurita® ST is a cooling water treatment program designed to provide effective corrosion inhibition and scale control in open recirculating cooling water systems. Combining advanced corrosion protection with polymer-based scale inhibition technology, Kurita ST helps maintain clean heat transfer surfaces, improve system efficiency, and extend equipment life.

Advanced Microbiological Control for Cooling Water Systems.

Towerclean® NT is Kurita’s patented oxidizing biocide technology designed to control slime, biofilm, and microbial growth in cooling water systems. Unlike conventional oxidizers such as chlorine and bromine, Towerclean NT remains stable in cooling water environments and penetrates biofilms effectively, helping suppress microbial activity while supporting cleaner heat transfer surfaces and more reliable system operation.

By reducing biological fouling and slime accumulation, Towerclean NT helps improve cooling efficiency, lower maintenance requirements, reduce corrosion risks associated with biofouling, and support longer equipment life. It is particularly effective in industrial cooling towers, heat exchangers, and recirculating cooling water systems where microbiological control is critical to operational reliability.

Automate Blowdown. Save Water. Improve Cooling System Efficiency.

S.sensing® C505 is Kurita’s automatic blowdown control technology for cooling water systems. By continuously monitoring system conditions and automatically controlling blowdown operation, it helps maintain optimal cycles of concentration (COC), reducing unnecessary water discharge while ensuring stable cooling system performance.

The system enables more efficient use of water and treatment chemicals, helping facilities lower operating costs, improve cooling tower efficiency, and support sustainability initiatives through reduced water consumption and wastewater generation.

Why choose Kurita?

  • To prevent blocking of pipes and pumps.
  • For an optimal heat transfer.
  • To avoid equipment failure.
  • To prevent system shut-downs.
  • To reduce the frequency of operational maintenance.
  • To minimize costs.
