S.sensing® RO-BF is a simulator designed to evaluate the performance of slime control agents in real time. It reproduces biofouling conditions on RO membranes and enables side-by-side comparison of two operational conditions in a single unit.

How it works?
S.sensing® RO-BF device holds two independent membrane cells, so two operating conditions can be evaluated side by side under the same feed water and run time — giving a direct, like-for-like comparison.
How the Simulation Works
- Two membrane cells run in parallel inside a single device.
- Each cell is set to a different condition — for example, with and without a treatment program, or two different dosing rates.
- Identical feed water and run duration keep the comparison fair and repeatable.
- After the run, each membrane sheet is recovered and inspected for biofilm and fouling.

- Top sheet — untreated: visible organic fouling and biofilm build-up.
- Bottom sheet — treated: a clean membrane surface.
- The side-by-side result confirms treatment performance before applying it to the full RO system.
