P.T. Kurita Indonesia proudly participated in Jababeka Ecoweek 2026 Mangrove Planting Movement, which is a mangrove planting initiative that took place in Muara Gembong, Bekasi, on July 23, 2026, alongside government representatives, local communities, and 27 industry partners.
As part of this initiative, Kurita contributed to the planting of 1,000 mangrove trees, helping to strengthen coastal resilience, support biodiversity, and combat the impacts of climate change.
This program is part of Jababeka Industrial Estate’s long-term environmental commitment, which has resulted in the planting of 100,000 mangrove trees since 2017, contributing to the absorption of approximately 500 tons of CO₂-e annually. Progress updates on mangrove growth and maintenance will continue to be shared every six months, while local communities remain actively involved in preserving and nurturing the ecosystem.
At Kurita, we believe that protecting water and the environment requires collaboration beyond our daily operations. Through initiatives like this, we continue working toward a more sustainable future for generations to come.
